Who We Are
We are a driven community of like-minded people, passionate about education
Founded in 2013 by Jacqueline McGarva, Cascade was created to nurture children’s social, emotional, and academic wellbeing.
We are a heart-based, blended education centre in Dubai. We welcome all children; from homeschoolers to unschoolers, as well as mainstream learners. Our main goal is to unite and build strong resourceful communities where each child comes first.

Our Learning Journey – The 8 Pods
The main aim of our 8-pod system is to provide modules that cater for the whole child in a welcoming, safe and creative environment. This inspires the development of the four major learning styles: auditory, verbal, visual and kinesthetic which promotes a positive attitude to life-long learning.

Jacqueline
Founder
Jacqueline founded Cascade British nursery in Kuwait and later founded Cascade Learning Centre in Dubai in 2013. She has been teaching and inspiring children for the last forty years and her vision is to always provide a safe, happy learning community where children and families come first. She is a mother of two and grandmother of four and has lived and worked in the Middle East for the past twenty five years.
Leila
Co-Founder, Business Development
Leila is passionate about building resourceful, nurturing communities that help families grow with resilience and harmony. With extensive experience across multiple industries, she specializes in business growth, people management, and development. A mother of two, she has lived in Dubai for over 15 years and previously worked in London, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
Priyanka
Guide
Priyanka is an AMI Montessori graduate, published author, and graphic designer with over eight years of experience as a primary school teacher. Passionate about child development and language learning, she specializes in teacher training, education research, and curriculum design. In her spare time, she enjoys music, paper craft, and hand-building with clay.
Vicky
Guide
Vicky has been supporting teachers and children at Cascade for the past nine years. Known for her calm, gentle warmth and sense of fun, she helps children feel safe, confident, and creative. A mother of two, she lives by Jess Lair’s words: “Children are not things to be moulded but people to be unfolded.”
Jonathan
Guide
Jonathan has been at Cascade for five years. He loves creating a fun, supportive space where children feel inspired to learn and grow. Jonathan has competed in local and international dance contests. He also enjoys art, music, and volleyball. Fun fact, he was almost drafted for the national volleyball team in college!
Ain
Admin
Ain first discovered Cascade as a parent and instantly felt at home in its warm community. Now, as part of the admin team, she loves welcoming and supporting families. Originally from Malaysia, she’s a proud parent of creative children and is passionate about building meaningful connections and nurturing spaces where every child feels valued.
